BANI, JUNE 11:- Bharat Sports Club Bani today hosted the “National Volleyball Championship Trophy” with the support of NHPC Sewa-II Power Station Mashka. The tournament was inaugurated by DDC Bani Reeta Thakur, with former MLA Jeevan Lal and other citizens also present.
In the opening match, Played between Lowang vs Duggan team in a thrilling contest. Duggan won the toss and chose to set first. Lowang secured the first set, but Duggan fight back to win the second set by 15 points. However, Lowang dominated the decisive third set, winning by 14 points. Mohammad Asif delivered an outstanding performance, leading Lowang to victory.
On the occasion Rita Thakur DDC Bani praised Bharat Sports Club Bani for its role in promoting sports and urged the club to organize a volleyball tournament for girls.
Former MLA Jeevan Lal also appreciated the club’s efforts in fostering community engagement and youth development.
One match was played on the opening day. On the second day, two matches will be played, with the first featuring Dharmota Warriors versus Bani Diamond Sports Club.
