KATHUA, JANUARY 22:- Under the able guidance of Principal Dr. Pragya Khanna, GLDM GDC Hiranagar successfully organized a Road Safety Awareness cum Symposium. The event, jointly hosted by the Road Safety Club and NSS unit aimed to educate students and staff on the importance of road safety.
The program began with a welcome address by the Nodal Officer of the Road Safety Club, Prof. Rakesh Sharma. Resource persons from the Motor Vehicle Department and the Regional Transport Office, Kathua, actively participated in the event. Notable guests included ARTO Shammi Kumar Sharma, Inspector Kapil Manhas (DTI), Inspector Jatinder Singh, Inspector Surinder, and Sub-Inspector Neeraj Kumar.
Nearly 20 students participated in the symposium, engaging in thoughtful discussions and interactive sessions on road safety measures and traffic regulations. The event concluded with insightful final remarks from ARTO Shammi Kumar Sharma and DTI Kathua, who emphasized the collective responsibility of all citizens in ensuring road safety.
The program concluded with a formal vote of thanks delivered by Prof. Shapia Shameem, NSS Program Officer.Entire program was a collective effort of Prof.Balbir,Dr.Rajesh ,Dr.Vijay,Dr.Rajni,Prof.Ganga,Prof.Neeru,Dr.Nasir and Dr.Haq .The symposium saw active participation from faculty, non-teaching staff,near about 90 students, and volunteers, making it a meaningful and impactful initiative.
