BANI, AUGUST 24:- Continuous heavy rainfall has severely affected normal life across the region. Roads and public movement have been disrupted, while residents face difficulties due to the ongoing downpour.In view of the situation, SDM Bani, Sandeep Kumar Sharma, has issued an important advisory for the general public, urging them to remain cautious and follow safety guidelines.
According to the advisory, Avoid unnecessary travel, especially towards hilly, landslide-prone, or flood-affected areas and Stay away from water bodies, fast-flowing streams, and riverbanks.Refrain from trekking, hiking, and other outdoor activities until weather conditions improve, Do not take shelter under trees, electric poles, or weak structures during thunderstorms. Farmers should avoid working in fields during thunderstorms and ensure harvested crops are secured. Residents in landslide-prone areas should remain alert and report unusual ground movements or cracks to authorities immediately.
The SDM also appealed to parents to keep children indoors and advised everyone to keep emergency essentials such as lights, food, and medicines ready in case of power outages.
Authorities have assured that all precautionary measures are being taken to minimize risks, and people are requested to cooperate and remain vigilant until the weather improves.
