BANI, MAY 23:- Under the directions of the Ministry of Power, Government of India, NHPC Sewa-II Power Station, Mashka organised a special cleanliness drive at Government Primary School Gatti on today as part of the ongoing “Swachhta Pakhwada–2026” campaign. The initiative aimed at promoting cleanliness, hygiene and awareness among students and staff.During the programme, officials, employees, contractual workers of NHPC and school teachers jointly participated in the cleanliness drive. The team carried out cleaning activities in the school premises, classrooms and toilets while also inspecting sanitation-related facilities.
Special attention was given to ensuring the availability of water supply in toilets, handwash facilities, sanitary napkins and their proper disposal mechanism.
The team also inspected girls’ toilets to check the availability of door latches, ventilation and adequate lighting arrangements. Emphasis was laid on maintaining proper cleanliness monitoring through checklists and reporting systems.The initiative was widely appreciated by the students and teachers of the school, who described the campaign as a meaningful and inspiring step towards promoting hygiene and cleanliness in educational institutions.
