Jammu & Kashmir Govt Promotes 51 Officers to JKAS Selection GRADE

BANI, JANUARY 31:- The Jammu and Kashmir government has promoted 51 officers to the Selection Grade of the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service (JKAS), as per an official order issued on Tuesday.

The promoted officers will now serve in Level 12 (₹78,800-₹2,09,200) with effect from December 5, 2024. The order, issued by the General Administration Department (GAD), lists several officers, including Gais-Ul-Haq, Syed Altaf Hussain Musvi, Muzamil Maqbool Beigh, Tanveer-ul-Majid Wani, and Ab. Baseer Ahmad, among others.

Additionally, officers currently serving as Deputy Secretaries in various departments have been elevated to Additional Secretaries, while others will continue in their present roles until further orders.

The government has stated that these promotions are subject to the outcome of any pending writ petitions in competent courts. The order was issued by Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, M. Raju, IAS.

Senior officials, including the Chief Secretary, Additional Chief Secretaries, and Divisional Commissioners, have been directed to ensure the smooth implementation of the order. This move aligns with the administration’s efforts to strengthen the bureaucratic framework in Jammu and Kashmir.
