BANI, JANUARY 26:- The 77th Republic Day of India was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour at the Sewa-II Power Station, Mashka, on January 26, 2026. The programme was marked by disciplined ceremonies, cultural performances, and messages of national unity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Head of the Power Station, Madan Lal Sharma, unfurled the National Flag at the Sewa-II office premises and took the salute of the parade presented by CISF and DGR security personnel. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The celebration commenced with the singing of the National Anthem, followed by a soulful rendition of Vande Mataram.Senior officials including Kalpataru Nayak, General Manager (Electrical), Asit Ranjan Patnayak, Deputy General Manager (Electrical), along with officers, employees, CISF personnel, and their family members, were present on the occasion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A live telecast of the address by the Hon\u2019ble Chairman and Managing Director of NHPC, Bhupender Gupta, was also arranged at the venue, which was attentively watched by all the employees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adding colour to the event, officers and children of the Sewa-II Power Station family presented cultural programmes based on patriotic themes, including speeches, group dances, and songs that reflected the spirit of nationalism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While addressing the gathering, Madan Lal Sharma extended warm Republic Day greetings to everyone and highlighted the historical significance of January 26.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He also emphasized the valuable contribution of NHPC and Sewa-II Power Station towards nation-building. He urged employees to continue performing their duties with dedication, honesty, and commitment. Later, addressing the media, HOP (Head of Power Project) Madan Lal Sharma said that NHPC has achieved significant developmental milestones in the Bani and Basohli regions, contributing to the overall welfare and infrastructure growth of the area. He informed that recently an OPD building has been constructed in Bani at a cost of Rs 1.8 crore, which was dedicated to the people of Bani on the occasion of Republic Day, January 26.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He further stated that NHPC is also going to construct the road connecting the Bani-Bhaderwah main road to the Mela Ground at an estimated cost of Rs 95 lakh, which will improve connectivity and strengthen local infrastructure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, he added that the construction work of a Boys\u2019 Hostel in Bani is currently in progress, which will provide better accommodation facilities for students in the coming days. M. L. Sharma reiterated NHPC\u2019s commitment towards sustainable development and assured continued support for welfare and infrastructure projects aimed at improving the quality of life of the local population.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
