KATHUA, FEBRUARY 24:- In a major crackdown on unaccounted cash movement, police in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kathua district seized ₹35 lakh from a private vehicle on Monday. One person has been detained for questioning, officials said.The incident occurred at Baghthali village on the Jammu-Pathankot highway when a police team intercepted a car bearing a Delhi registration number. Upon searching the vehicle, officers discovered a bag containing ₹35,08,800 in cash.This marks the second major cash seizure in the district within a week. Earlier, on February 18, authorities recovered ₹3.36 crore hidden inside a special cavity of a car at Lakhanpur and took two youths from Kashmir into custody.
