DUBAI, MARCH 02:- India registered a commanding 44-run victory over New Zealand in their final group-stage match of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. With this win, India secured the top position in Group A and will now face Australia in the semifinal on March 4.
However, Shreyas Iyer played a crucial knock, scoring 79 runs, helping India post a competitive total of 249/9 in 50 overs. Making his tournament debut, spinner Varun Chakravarthy delivered a match-winning performance, taking five wickets for just 42 runs in 10 overs. His spell helped bowl out New Zealand for 205 in 45.3 overs.
