BANI , AUGUST 18:- Heavy rainfall and subsequent landslides have caused significant damage to the Primary Health Centre Dhaggar, Bani of Kathua district.
According to reports, the back wall of the health centre was damaged, allowing rainwater to flood inside the building and disrupt essential services.
Speaking to Bani Update News, the Block Medical Officer, Bani, said that it is too early to determine the exact extent of the loss. However, rainwater has reportedly entered sensitive equipment including the X-ray machine, dental chair, and other electronic units, raising concerns of serious damage.The officer further stated that since there is currently no electricity supply, the exact condition of the equipment cannot be verified.
The disruption has affected healthcare services, adding to the difficulties faced by the local population during the ongoing spell of heavy rains.
