BANI, AUGUST 21:- In a humanitarian initiative, the Indian Army has installed solar lights along pedestrian paths and community spaces in Dandi and Guttu villages of Bani region, providing much-needed relief to the local population. Earlier, a similar project was successfully carried out in Selli, Lowang village.

More than half a dozen solar lights have been set up at schools, community gathering points, and pathways in these remote villages, significantly reducing the difficulties faced by residents during dark evenings.

Former Sarpanch Manohar Lal expressed his gratitude to the Indian Army, saying, “The Indian Army is not only safeguarding our borders but also winning the hearts of people through developmental initiatives. This project is a big relief for the villagers and will serve as an inspiration for future generations.”

He further pointed out that Dandi and Guttu are among the most remote parts of Bani, where electricity shortages are frequent, particularly during the monsoon and winter months. “In such conditions, the solar lights provided by the Army have brought real hope and new light into people’s lives,” he remarked.

On the occasion, Villagers too expressed happiness, noting that the Army’s efforts have made daily life easier and safer, especially during the evenings.
