BANI, JANUARY 30:- Late at night, when the electricity supply in the area was disrupted, employees of the electricity department arrived to fix the issue. However, shockingly, they had no safety equipment. Using only mobile lights, they carried out the repairs, climbing electricity poles without any protective gear. This negligence sparked outrage among local residents.

Former Sarpanch Rakesh Gupta and social activist Pranav Sharma strongly opposed this situation, stating, “The electricity department collects crores in bills, yet it fails to provide even basic safety equipment to its workers. This is a serious issue, and we will raise our voices against it.”He urged the government and the department to prioritize worker safety and ensure they are equipped with essential safety gear such as helmets, insulated gloves, safety belts, and other protective equipment. He further emphasized, “Whether it’s snowfall, rain, or scorching heat, electricity workers perform their duties diligently, but the department neglects their safety.”If immediate action is not taken, the risk of a major accident cannot be ruled out.
