KATHUA, FEBRUARY 03:- Government Degree College for Women Kathua, celebrated Basant panchami festival in the college campus with a lot of exuberance and funfair. The mood of the campus was upbeat and the students were totally absorbed in the festive spirit. The program started with lightning of lamp by Principal of the college Dr.SaviBehl.The program started with Saraswati Puja by the Principal and all staff members.Principal appreciated the initiative taken by cultural committee for awaring students about their culture on this special day. She said that by organising such programs, students get acquainted with the rich tradition of the Nation.Students and staff presented devotional songs on the theme of Basant panchami. All senior faculty members Dr. Inderjeet kour, Prof Ashwani Sharma,Dr.Babita Mahajan, Dr. Deepshikha,Dr Rachna along with other faculty members were present in the function. Prashad was distributed among the staff and students.
