BANI, MAY 22:– Following the directions of the Ministry of Power, Government of India, NHPC Limited’s Sewa-II Power Station organised a special cleanliness and plogging drive along the banks of the Sewa River under the ongoing “Swachhta Pakhwada–2026” campaign. The initiative aimed to spread awareness about environmental protection and keep the riverbanks clean and pollution-free.

The cleanliness drive was led by Sewa-II Power Station Head Madan Lal Sharma. The campaign began with a plogging activity from the Sewa-II administrative building to the Sewa River, during which plastic waste, paper, bottles and other garbage lying along the route were collected and cleared.

Later, officers and employees carried out an extensive cleaning drive along the riverbanks and contributed towards maintaining a clean environment around the Sewa River. Proper disposal of the collected waste was also ensured during the campaign.
Speaking on the occasion, Power Station Head Madan Lal Sharma said that public participation is essential for maintaining a clean and healthy environment. He added that such campaigns play an important role in spreading awareness about cleanliness and environmental conservation in society.
