Indian Army Organizes Medical Camp in Barri, Lowang Tehsil, Kathua Under Operation Sadbhavana

Kathua, April 1, 2025: The Indian Army, under Operation Sadbhavana, organized a medical camp in the remote village of Barri, Lowang Tehsil, Bani District, Kathua, UT of Jammu and Kashmir. The initiative, led by the 4th Gorkha Rifles, aimed to provide free healthcare services to the local population.

Approximately 200 residents, including children, elderly, and women, benefitted from the camp. They received medical check-ups, consultations, and free medicines for various ailments. A team of Army doctors and paramedics provided treatment and also spread awareness about hygiene, nutrition, and preventive healthcare.

Local residents expressed their gratitude to the Indian Army for their humanitarian efforts, especially in remote and underserved areas. This medical camp is part of the Army’s ongoing community outreach under Operation Sadbhavana, reinforcing its commitment to public welfare and strengthening the bond between the armed forces and civilians.

Such initiatives highlight the Indian Army’s dedication not only to national security but also to improving healthcare accessibility in far-flung regions, ensuring that essential medical aid reaches those in need.
