BANI, APRIL 12:- The NHPC Limited-operated Sewa-II Power Station has set a new milestone by generating 3.25 million units of electricity in a single day on April 10, 2026. This marks the highest-ever one-day power generation recorded by the station since its commissioning in July 2010.
This significant achievement is being attributed to uninterrupted operations, efficient maintenance, and a high level of professional expertise. It highlights the station’s crucial role in strengthening both regional and national power grids.According to an official statement issued by NHPC, the milestone also reflects improved reservoir management, high plant availability, and the exceptional dedication of the operations and maintenance teams.
The company emphasized that this accomplishment aligns with its commitment to delivering reliable and sustainable hydropower.
