BANI, APRIL 13:- A two-day Baisakhi festival commenced in Bani with great enthusiasm and vibrant cultural celebrations. The event was inaugurated by SDM Bani, Sandeep Kumar, in the presence of a large gathering of locals and officials.
The opening day witnessed a festive atmosphere as various government departments set up informative stalls to educate the public about different welfare schemes. School students presented colorful cultural performances, showcasing patriotism, local traditions, and folk heritage, which captivated the audience. Local artists also contributed with impressive performances, adding energy and charm to the event.

Speaking on the occasion, SDM Bani Sandeep Kumar highlighted that such events help promote tourism and preserve local culture. He also assured that all necessary arrangements, including security, have been put in place for the smooth conduct of the festival. Emphasizing the ongoing anti-drug campaign by the Jammu and Kashmir government, he urged people to stay away from drugs and actively support the initiative.

Several officials, including the Tehsildar Bani, CDPO Bani, SDPO Bani, SHO, former MLA,Jewan Lal, Kajal Rajput and other prominent citizens, were present at the event.
The first day saw a huge turnout and enthusiastic participation from the public. According to the organizers, more activities are planned to keep the festive spirit alive throughout the event.

On the second day, Tuesday, the program will begin around 10 AM with a welcome ceremony at the Forest Guest House Bani. This will be followed by the formal inauguration of departmental stalls and the continuation of fair activities.
The highlight of the day will be the announcement of lucky draw winners. Attractive bumper prizes, including a motorcycle, scooty, refrigerator, and several other gifts, have been lined up for the winners.
