MLA Bani Chairs Public Darbar, Assures Relief on Infrastructure and Welfare Issues

BANI , APRIL 10: In a continued effort to strengthen grassroots governance and ensure prompt redressal of public issues, a public darbar was convened at Bhatoddi.

The darbar witnessed participation from key administrative officials, including Tehsildar Lohai Malhar Anil Kumar, BDO Duggain Ajay Singh, Deputy CEO Billawar Ram Lal, AEE PMGSY Mohd Salim Choudhary, along with officers from various departments, reflecting a coordinated administrative outreach.

During the interaction, residents projected several pressing concerns, with road connectivity emerging as a major issue. The locals strongly demanded the construction and restoration of the Kohag–Bhattodi road stretch, spanning approximately 35 kilometers. Responding to the demand, the MLA informed that an allocation of ₹4.5 crore has already been sanctioned and the restoration process is currently underway.

Another significant concern raised was the construction of a new building for Government High School Moar, as the existing structure has been rendered unsafe due to damage caused by previous rains and floods. Addressing the matter, the Deputy CEO informed that ₹4.5 crore has been approved for the project and efforts are in progress to identify a suitable site. The MLA directed the revenue authorities to expedite the identification process and complete all formalities at the earliest.

The public also highlighted issues such as shortage of staff in educational and healthcare institutions, water scarcity at Nand Moar, bifurcation of ration cards, renewal of gun licenses, and pendency of compensation claims.

On the issue of compensation for damages caused by floods and landslides, the MLA stated that the cases are under active consideration of the concerned authorities. He assured that eligible beneficiaries would be covered under or provided compensation as per established norms, subject to submission of requisite documentation. He further announced that genuine left-out cases would be extended financial assistance ranging from ₹50,000 to ₹1 lakh through his Constituency Development Fund (CDF).

The Deputy CEO was also directed to take immediate and necessary measures to address the shortage of teaching staff in the region.

Reiterating his commitment to inclusive development and public welfare, the MLA assured that all genuine issues raised during the darbar have been duly recorded and will be addressed in a time-bound manner. He also announced the establishment of a new ration store at Moar to enhance public service delivery and ensure better accessibility for the local population.
