BANI, APRIL 18:- A mysterious fire broke out this morning in the Sundroon area of Bani, in Kathua district, causing massive destruction. The fire started in one house but quickly escalated and spread to three adjacent houses. In total, four residential houses were engulfed in the blaze, and all belongings inside were completely destroyed.Fortunately, there was no loss of life reported in the incident. As soon as the news reached the authorities, a team from the Revenue Department and the police arrived at the scene.
Locals also rushed to help in extinguishing the fire. However, due to strong winds, controlling the fire became very difficult, and three more houses were gutted.The affected houses include:A four-story house belonging to Sanjay Kumar, son of Hari SinghA three-story house owned by Om Prakash, son of TejiThe house of Tilak Raj, son of Hari SinghA three-story house owned by Praveen Kumar, daughter of HariAll household belongings in these homes were destroyed in the fire.As of now, the cause of the fire remains unknown. The police have registered a case and started an investigation. Meanwhile, the Revenue Department team has assessed the site and started evaluating the losses.There is a growing demand from the public for the administration to provide immediate compensation and relief to the affected families.
