Bani – A five-day T20 cricket tournament, organized to promote sports in the Doulka region, concluded successfully today.
A total of 32 teams participated in the competition. The final match was played between Manda and Sanjwal teams, in which Sanjwal claimed a thrilling victory.In the final, Sanjwal won the toss and opted to bowl first. Batting first, the Manda team scored 97 runs in 10 overs. In response, the Sanjwal team put up an excellent performance and chased down the target in the final over to lift the trophy.Dheeraj Kumar from Sanjwal was declared the “Man of the Tournament” for scoring 80 runs and taking 10 wickets throughout the competition. Mohammad Azhar was named “Man of the Match” in the final for taking 3 crucial wickets while conceding only 15 runs in his 3 overs.
Former MLA and BJP leader Jeevan Lal was present as the chief guest at the final match. He stated, “There is no shortage of talent among the youth of Bani region; they only need a proper platform. With our government at the center, we will certainly raise the demand for a proper sports ground here.”Also present on the occasion were former local Sarpanch Shivalal, members of the Friends Cricket Club, and several other prominent figures.
Tournament organizer Ramesh Rajwal said, “Our goal is to connect rural youth with sports and provide them an opportunity to showcase their talent. We plan to organize this tournament on an even larger scale in the future.”
