Jammu, April 30, 2025 — In a major administrative reshuffle to enhance forest governance and management, the Jammu & Kashmir Forest Department has issued Forest Order No. 106 of 2025, dated April 30, 2025, announcing the transfer and new postings of several Range Officers and in-charge Range Officers across the Union Territory.

Vinay Anand, previously serving as Technical Officer to the Chief Conservator of Forests, Jammu, has been posted as the new Range Officer for Bani Range, Basohli Forest Division.

In a significant move, Mohd. Ashraf, who was I/c Range Officer, Demarcation Division-II, Bhaderwah, has been appointed as the new Range Officer for Malhar Range, Billawar Forest Division.

The reshuffle, involving over 35 officers, aims to strengthen the field-level administration of forest ranges and ensure efficient management of resources. Officers have been transferred across various divisions including Udhampur, Anantnag, Baramulla, Marwah, and Kulgam, with some being reassigned from technical or training roles.

These changes are expected to streamline departmental functioning and support sustainable forest management efforts across Jammu & Kashmir.
