BANI, SEPTEMBER 23:- NHPC Sewa-II Power Station organized a Tree Plantation Drive in front of its Senior Field Hostel as part of the nationwide campaign “Swachhata Hi Sewa – 2025”, initiated under the directive of the Ministry of Power, Government of India.
The drive aimed to raise awareness about the importance of tree plantation and encourage active public participation. It highlighted the role of trees in ensuring a safe and clean environment, combating global warming, preserving the natural balance, and conserving vital resources such as water and soil.
On this occasion, Shri Madan Lal Sharma, Head of Power Station, emphasized that tree plantation is not just an environmental duty, but also a social and moral responsibility deeply rooted in Indian culture. He remarked, “We should not only plant trees, but also protect and nurture them. Planting a tree today is a long-term investment whose benefits will be enjoyed by both the present and future generations through clean air, a healthy environment, and a stable climate.” He further motivated the officers and employees with the slogan “Plant Trees, Save Lives.”
The plantation drive under Swachhata Hi Sewa – 2025 reflects the proactive efforts of NHPC Sewa-II in promoting cleanliness, safeguarding the environment, and contributing to the vision of a greener, healthier, and more sustainable India.
