
KATHUA , JANUARY 24: A full dress rehearsal for India’s 76th Republic Day celebrations was held at the Sports Stadium in Kathua, Jammu and Kashmir, with great enthusiasm.
The event was attended by various dignitaries, including Additional District Development Commissioner Kathua Surinder Mohan, who took the salute at an impressive march past contingents drawn from Police, CRPF, Forest Protection Force, platoons of NCC cadets besides formation of Police Band.
On the occasion, students presented scintillating cultural items based on patriotism, cultural traditions and folk dances which were applauded by the audience present on the occasion.
During the event, the ADDC remarked, “Republic Day serves as a meaningful occasion to reinforce our dedication to preserving unity, integrity and sovereignty of our beloved nation.”
The ADDC encouraged young students to aim high and work diligently toward achieving their dreams, emphasizing their critical role in realising India’s goal to become a Developed Nation. He urged everyone to give their best performance with a sense of patriotism during the upcoming event to ensure its grand success. The ADDC also called on officers, school children, and the public to participate in large numbers and celebrate the national occasion with enthusiasm and fervor.
ADC Kathua Ranjit Singh, ASP Kathua Rahul Charak, CPO Kathua Ranjit Thakur, ACR Kathua Vishav Pratap Singh, district heads of various departments were present to witness the full dress rehearsal.
