BANI, 27 FEBRUARY :- A special Senior Citizen Welfare Programme was organised at Government Higher Secondary School (HSS) Bani for the elderly residents of the area. The main objective of the programme was to provide senior citizens with information regarding healthcare services, pension schemes, legal rights, and various social security schemes.
During the event, a health check-up camp was conducted, and detailed information about different government welfare schemes was shared. Officials from the concerned departments patiently listened to the grievances of senior citizens and provided necessary guidance for their resolution.
The Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Bani, while addressing the gathering, stated:
“Our senior citizens are a priceless heritage of society. Ensuring their respect and welfare is our priority. The administration remains committed to safeguarding their interests and providing necessary facilities. Such programmes will continue to be organised in the future.”
On this occasion, Tehsil Officer of the Social Welfare Department, Khursheeda Begum, informed that a total of 20 beneficiaries were distributed tracksuits, dry fruits, and yoga kits during the programme to encourage them to adopt a healthy lifestyle.
The programme was attended by officials from the local administration, Health Department, and Social Welfare Department, along with a large number of senior citizens.
