BANI, MAY 31:- As per the direction of Ministry of Power, Govt of India, under “Swachhta Pakhwada – 2025” at Sewa-II Power Station, Mashka, J&K, “Tree Plantation Drive” was carried out on 30.05.2025 in Bio-Diversity Park, Hutt, near Sewa-II Power Station.
The aim of this campaign was to make people aware of the importance of tree plantation and motivate them to actively participate in this activity, which will help in making the environment safe and clean, controlling global warming, maintaining ecological balance, water and soil conservation etc.
On this occasion, Power Station Head Madan Lal Sharma said that tree plantation is not just an environmental act but also a social, moral responsibility and a part of our culture. We should not only plant trees but also save and nurture them. If we plant a tree today, it is a long-term investment, which will benefit us and coming generations both. In the coming times, we will also get the blessings of clean air, healthy environment and stable climate. Along with this, shri madan lal sharma inspired all the officers and employees present on this tree plantation campaign by giving the slogan “Plant trees, save life” to everyone to plant trees.
Tree plantation drive under Swachhta Pakhwada initiative is a commendable step towards promoting cleanliness and environmental awareness which reflects the proactive approach of NHPC Sewa-II in serving and protecting nature also creating a green, beautiful and healthy India.
