Kathua, J&K | September 9, 2025 – Upholding its commitment to community welfare, the Indian Army facilitated the medical evaluation of an 8-year-old boy from Duggan village in Kathua district.
Responding to a request from local residents, the Army assisted in arranging specialized care for Usman Ali, son of Mr. Laykat Ali, who had been diagnosed earlier with a cardiac condition. A recent 2D Echo conducted at Pathankot on August 20, 2025, confirmed the presence of a Bicuspid Aortic Valve with Mild Aortic Stenosis and Regurgitation.
Doctors have reported that the child’s heart function is currently normal and that surgical intervention is not required at this stage. They have advised routine follow-ups every 6–12 months, along with symptomatic management as necessary.
This initiative highlights the Indian Army’s continued efforts to provide humanitarian assistance and address healthcare challenges in remote regions, further strengthening its bond with local communities.
