Basohli, September 19: A review meeting regarding Navratri preparations was held in the office chamber of ADC, chaired by Additional District Magistrate, Basohli, Pankaj Bhagotra.
Chander Shekhar, President of the Ram Leela Club, Basohli, informed the ADC that people park their personal vehicles around the Ramlila Ground and that building materials are also lying there. He demanded that vehicles be parked outside the Ramlila Ground and the building materials be removed before starting the Ram Leela. The ADC directed the EO, Municipal Committee to remove the building materials and parked vehicles from the Ramlila Ground and informed them that additional parking for vehicles during Navratri would be available on the Basohli Bani Road and the Atal Setu Road.
Officers from the Electricity, PHE and Public Works Departments stated that drinking water supply and electricity to the Chanchalo Devi Temple have been restored and the road will reopen by this evening. The Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) stated that he would personally visit the Chanchalo Mata Temple and Ram Leela Ground tomorrow to review the arrangements. Former Municipal Committee Chairman Sumesh Sapolia, local prominent citizens Sunil Soni and Sanjay Rajdan demanded the repair of the toilet near the Ram Leela Ground, and the restoration of the tricolor lights on the Atal Setu.
The officer directed the EO, Municipal Committee to repair the toilet and stated that he would speak with BRO officers to provide electricity connection for the tricolor lights.
The officer directed the Block Development Officers of all blocks to clear the paths leading to the temple sites by cutting the bushes. Regarding the demand for electricity connection for the fountains at Rani Talab, the ADC assured that he would speak with the Executive Officer of the Electricity Department to resolve the issue.

On this occasion, SDPO Suresh Sharma, Tehsildar Sagar Vishwa Karma, EO/Block Development Officer Rajesh Kumar, AEE Yogesh Sharma of Jal Shakti Department, Anoop Sharma of Jal Shakti Mechanical, AE Virendra Singh of Public Works Department, JE Surjeet Chauhan of Electricity Department, Priest Tilak Nath of Neelkanth Temple, Priest Shiv Padha and Pawan Padha of Chanchalo Devi Temple were present while Tehsildar Mahanpur Radhika Sohan and officers working in Mahanpur Tehsil participated in this meeting virtually.
