BANI, JANUARY 23:- A meeting was held at the Sub Divisional Magistrate office in Bani to discuss preparations for Republic Day and upcoming National Voter’s Day.
Meeting Chaired by SDM Gais-ul-Haq, the meeting was attended by various officials, including Tehsildar Bani Praduman Atri, Block Development Officer Rajesh Kumar Padha, and Block Medical Officer Dr. Dev Raj.
The SDM announced that a program will be organized at Higher Secondary School Bani on January 25 to mark National Voter’s Day. The program aims to raise voter awareness and administer an oath to participants. The SDM instructed all officers to participate in the program.
Latter Preparations for Republic Day celebrations were also discussed, and the SDM issued guidelines to officials from various departments. National Voter’s Day is celebrated annually on January 25 to mark the foundation day of the Election Commission of India, which was established on January 25, 1950.
The Election Commission of India celebrates National Voters’ Day to encourage voter enrollment, especially among young voters. The day is also utilized to spread awareness among voters for promoting informed participation in the electoral process.
