Indian army extinguished the fire
BANI, JANUARY 24:- A cowshed was gutted to fire at Duggan in Bani sub-division of Kathua district.The incident took place at around 2 pm today and the locals immediately swung into action to control the fire. Locals informed the nearby Indian army, which arrived to help put out the fire. The fire was finally brought under control with the joint efforts of the locals and the Indian Army.
However, the upper floor of the “Gaushala” was badly damaged, leading to economic losses of over Rs 2 lakh. Fortunately, there were no cattle inside the “Gaushala” at the time of the fire, which prevented loss of life & said that the cause of the fire was short circuit.
