KATHUA, DECEMBER 05:- A heartbreaking road accident shook the district on Last night,after a wedding car plunged into a deep gorge, resulting in the death of three people, including the groom, and leaving several others injured. The tragic incident has cast a wave of grief across the region.
Reacting to the tragedy, Congress District President Pankaj Dogra expressed profound sorrow and extended heartfelt condolences to the affected families.
Pankaj Dogra said, “I extend my deepest condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in this tragic accident. May the departed souls rest in peace. I also pray for the speedy recovery of all those who were injured.”
He further stated that such incidents highlight the urgent need for improved road safety in the region. Dogra strongly demanded that the administration immediately repair and strengthen the Bani–Bhandar and adjoining link roads, which have become increasingly accident-prone.
He added that negligence toward road maintenance puts countless lives at risk and urged authorities to conduct a detailed inspection of the route and initiate repair work without delay.
