BANI, JANUARY 25:- Dr.Rameshwar Singh, MLA Bani has announced plans to organize a festival in Dhaggar, modeled after the successful Sarathal winter festival. This move aims to promote tourism and cultural heritage in the region. Dhaggar, a picturesque village in the Bani tehsil of Kathua district, is known for its natural beauty, with green meadows, freshwater springs, and Deodar forests.
The festival, although still in the planning stages, is expected to showcase the local culture, music, and art of the region. It may also feature traditional folk dances, music performances, and local cuisine. The event will likely attract tourists and locals alike, providing a boost to the local economy.
The Sarathal festival, which inspired this initiative, is a popular event that celebrates the region’s natural beauty and cultural heritage. It typically features music, dance, and art performances, as well as outdoor activities like trekking and camping. By replicating this model in Dhaggar, the MLA hopes to create a similar experience that showcases the unique charm of the region.
Dhaggar is about 189 km from Kathua district, located in the beautiful Bani tehsil. A visit to Dhaggar offers spectacular views of the surrounding hills and valleys, making it a picturesque destination.
Bani MLA, Dr. Rameshwar Singh while talking to media on the occasion of Sarthal Winter Festival said that on the lines of successful Winter Festival, a fair will be organized in the summer season to promote tourism in Dagar and along with tourism, the economy of the region will also grow.
