NHPC Promotes Drug-Free Society Through T-10 Cricket Tournament in Bani
BANI, FEBRUARY 02:- With the support of NHPC Sewa–II Power Station Mashka, the T-10 Cricket Tournament was inaugurated today at the Government Degree College Bani ground. The tournament is being organized under the theme “Say No to Drugs, Khelo India”, aiming to encourage youth to stay away from drugs and actively participate in sports.

A total of 16 teams are participating in the tournament, divided into four groups, with league matches being played.

The tournament was inaugurated by DSP Ameen Bhatt. On this occasion, SHO Bani Surinder Raina and former Sarpanch Gatti Sushil Kumar were also present as special guests.
The dignitaries motivated the players and appreciated the efforts of the organizers. They emphasized that promoting sports and positive activities among children and youth is the need of the hour. Such events play a vital role in building a drug-free society and creating a healthy environment.

The tournament is being organized by Bharat Sports Club Bani and sponsored by NHPC Sewa–II Power Station.

On the opening day, the first match was played between Super Star Challa Team and Chandal XI. Toss Won by Team Chala and choose Bowl first. Batting first, Chandal XI scored 66 runs in the allotted 10 overs. While chasing the target, Super Star Challa managed only 60 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 10 overs. As a result, Chandel XI won the match.
From Chandel XI, Keshav delivered an outstanding bowling performance, claiming 4 wickets for just 9 runs in 3 overs, playing a key role in the team’s victory.
