“Say No to Drugs, Khelo India” T-20 Tournament Concludes with Grand Finale in Bani

BANI, February 13: The “Say No to Drugs, Khelo India” T-20 Cricket Tournament concluded successfully today at the Government Degree College Ground, Bani, with Golden Gladiators lifting the championship trophy after a thrilling final match.

The tournament was organized by Bharat Sports Club Bani and sponsored by NHPC Sewa–II Power Station, Mashka. The event aimed to promote sportsmanship among youth and spread awareness against drug abuse in the region.

In the final match, Golden Gladiators took on Dream Eleven. After winning the toss, Golden Gladiators opted to bowl first. Batting first, Dream Eleven posted a competitive total of 107 runs for the loss of three wickets in the allotted 10 overs.
Chasing the target, Golden Gladiators displayed an impressive batting performance and successfully achieved 108 runs in just 9.5 overs to clinch the title. Azaan Malik played a match-winning knock of 46 runs off just 16 balls, smashing six sixes and remaining unbeaten. He was declared Man of the Match for his outstanding performance.
Javeed Butt was awarded the Player of the Tournament title for his consistent contribution throughout the competition.

The winning team, Golden Gladiators, received a cash prize of ₹25,000 along with a trophy, while runners-up Dream Eleven were awarded ₹20,000 and a trophy. All participating players were also felicitated during the closing ceremony.

The prize distribution ceremony was graced by Sanjiv Yadav Rao, Group Senior Manager, NHPC Sewa–II Mashka, as the Chief Guest. Guests of Honour included Ravinder Singh Rawat, Sandeep Lal, and BJP leader Kajal Rajput.

Addressing the gathering, the dignitaries appreciated the efforts of the organizers and emphasized that sports play a vital role in guiding youth towards a healthy and drug-free lifestyle. They encouraged young players to focus on fitness, discipline, and positive activities.

A total of 16 teams participated in the tournament, which witnessed enthusiastic support from local residents. The successful organise once again highlighted the growing sports culture in Bani and reinforced the message of a drug-free society.
